about meggie…
This Fashionista and Independent Jewelry Designer received her BFA in Fashion Design from the Otis College of Art, in Los Angeles, and hit the ground running. At the age of 21, she worked as an Assistant Designer at a corporate fashion house. Discouraged by the lack of room for creativity that comes with working for such a large company, she ventured out as a stylist for Photo and Commercial shoots. After spending 5 years in Los Angeles, a true Bay Area girl, she was ready to take her fashion sense and stubborn-will north. Meggie, a girl that has always found freedom by the water, caught the creative wave again and began designing her unique, beach-inspired jewelry. Tools in hand, this do-it-herself girl spent two years promoting and selling her jewelry in order to save money to start building her dream. About a year ago, Meggie visited her sister in New York and she found herself reading a magnet on the refrigerator over and over. The magnet simply said, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined” (Henry David Thoreau). With the support of her loving family and those powerful words in mind, the journey of .meggie. san francisco began. There is no right or wrong time to strike out on your own…so you just put your best shoes forward and go for it.

Her boutique reflects her own style; casually cool with a twist of romance. She exclusively carries .meggie. handmade jewelry and promotes other local designers as well as her own favorite brands such as Lily + Jae, 213 Industry, Alternative Apparel, Linea Pele, Sulee Candles, Nous Savons, Hammitt Bags, Vintage Empire, Erin Barr, Jacqui Chazen Watches, Heartloom, Jeffrey Campbell, Fresh Ink and JJ Winter Handbags. Meggie opens her doors to new up and coming designers, keeping the store organic and hip. She offers a unique styling service to her customers and plans to close down the store for “girl” parties of 10 or more. This girl is sure to keep you on your toes and looking your best!
